One tap and the noise is gone.
One tap and the noise is gone.
Null Tag is a machined NFC anchor for your attention. Stick one to your desk, your bedside table, the inside of your front door. Touch your iPhone to it and the apps you chose to escape lock instantly — no menus, no willpower, no negotiation.
Tap it again to come back. That is the entire interface.
iPhone XS or later running iOS 17+, with the free Null app and Screen Time access. NFC Forum Type 5 (NTAG 216), 924 bytes. No battery, ever.
How it works
Null Tag is the physical trigger. The free Null app does the blocking. Between them there is nothing to configure in the moment — only a surface to touch.

Focus starts on its own. Mornings, evenings, whenever. The tag is there for the hours you did not plan for.
Only a tap gets you out. No pause. No exceptions. If the tag is on your desk, so is your attention.
Made properly
Before you ask
No. Null Tag is passive NFC — it draws the trace of power it needs from your phone during the tap itself. There is nothing to charge and nothing to replace.
The free Null app, using Apple's Screen Time and Family Controls frameworks. The tag is the trigger; iOS enforces the shield. That is why it cannot be talked around.
Nowhere. Focus, Sleep and Rest scores are computed on your device and stay there. There is no account, no sync, and nothing to opt out of.
One is a habit. Three is a system — desk, bedside and front door cover the three moments where attention usually leaks.
The pre-applied 3M VHB base holds on wood, glass, metal, painted plaster and most plastics, and lifts off cleanly with a little warmth.
