Null Tag is a machined NFC anchor for your attention. Stick one to your desk, your bedside table, the inside of your front door. Touch your iPhone to it and the apps you chose to escape lock instantly — no menus, no willpower, no negotiation.
Tap it again to come back. That is the entire interface.
What it does
- Instant shields. A tap starts a routine and blocks the apps and categories you selected. Another tap ends it.
- Multiple routines per tag. Assign Deep Work to your desk and Wind Down to your bedside. Scan and choose.
- Hard Mode. Remove the pause button entirely. Only the tag gets you out.
- Scored, not scolded. Focus, Sleep and Rest scores are computed on your device and nowhere else.

Requirements
iPhone XS or later running iOS 17+, with the free Null app and Screen Time access. NFC Forum Type 5 (NTAG 216), 924 bytes. No battery, ever.
Null Tag is the physical trigger; the free Null app does the blocking. Between them there is nothing to configure in the moment — only a surface to touch.
